(October, 2017) Sea cadets from Royal Canadian Sea Cadet Corps' 23 Kent, 85 Summerside, and 323 Blue Herron, in Prince Edward Island, travelled together by bus to visit beautiful Quebec City. The cadets explored historic landmarks, visited museums, and shopped at local retail outlets.

"Traveling to new places is a great way for us to learn about other places in Canada," explains Patrick O'Hanley, a cadet with Rcscc Kent, "We also get to bond with our peers, and make new friendships!"

The cadets visited a number of landmarks throughout Quebec City, including Montmorency Falls, Fairmont Le Chateau Frontenac, and the Plains of Abraham - a historic battlefield from 1759. They also toured local attractions like the Montreal Biodome, a former Olympic building comprised of four different replica ecosystems found in North America.

During their trip, many cadets were able to experience new modes of transportation. The cadets sailed on the ferry, traveling across the St. Lawrence River; they traveled underground in the subway system; they took a private bus between Quebec and PEI.

What is now dubbed "The Quebec Trip" by local sea cadets is surely a special memory that will stick them for a long time!
