Last Night of the 2020/2021 Training Year + Thank You!

Image
It's the last night of the training year! We had so much fun tonight. We took a walk down to the 2021 sign, walked back to the cadet unit to fuel up on delicious Gatorade and Icecream, and then even got to squeeze in some sports before parents arrived. We'd like to say 'thank you.' We know it was a difficult training year, but you, our cadets, were resilient and determined. You stuck through it and stayed with us despite the challenges. Although we didn't resume in-person training until the spring, due to Covid-19 guidelines, we are fortunate that we were able to see you all again even for a short part of the the training year. We are hopeful that things will return to somewhat normal in September, for our 80th year. We hop e to see you all again soon (maybe without masks)!  Stay tuned to our social media channels during the summer as we will provide you with summer updates, challenges and games, and more! Have a great summer, and stay safe!

The cadets each ran 2 kilometres with 10 second's between start times. Next up was everyone's favorite part: the shooting! The cadets each shot 10 practice shots, before the beginning the Biathlon part of the competition. Each cadet received 5 pellets, to shoot at the 5 targets. It's a race against time, but in the end the cadet with the best score was Quinn Downie! Now the scores are sent off to Regional Cadet Support Unit Atlantic, to get compared with the rest of the maritimes to see who goes to N...
